What to expect.
Long answer: I like to think of my classes as an ocean wave.
Imagine a wave far off from the shore, the silky water’s surface slowly building until it nears the shoreline. Then, just as the wave reaches its most dramatic self it pauses, as if to say “Here I am, world!” then forcefully crumbles into frothy water that brushes against the sand before the ocean claims it back. Just like us, waves change from moment to moment; the ocean doesn’t judge its waves for not looking like the last one. It just lets it flow, finding enjoyment from whatever comes in the moment.
Ok, maybe that imagery was a bit much, but hear me out: my classes are thoughtfully built to challenge the body, a creative blend of fiery vinyasa flows with a layer of pilates, and all supported by a foundation of functional mobility. We’ll take those traditional yoga shapes and learn how to instill our body with mindfulness and presence in order to safely expand its capabilities.
Short answer: Build up the heat, take it to our max (if that’s what you’re looking for), then slowly bring it back down to a place that feels soothing, comforting, and at peace.
